Spring is not quite in the air at our east coast office as we watch the snow fall, but is in our hearts and minds. March marks our 12 year Anniversary and we are looking forward to a bigger and better year.

We are working hard to recruit businesses for the Elixir Fund Registry so that we can begin testing it with the patients and families at Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center. If you know of an online business or one in the NJ area that you think would be appropriate, please contact us with their information. There is no fee for the businesses to participate in the testing phase.

Our director, Meg McQuarrie, recently participated in a book reading and signing of Marion Behr’s Surviving Cancer: Our Voices & Choices. Meg and the Elixir Fund are honored to have been asked to contribute to this incredible collection of essays that cover all aspects of cancer – from diagnosis to treatment and beyond. This summer, on July 19, 2015, TEAM KEVIN will be reuniting to participate in the Panasonic NYC  Triathlon on behalf of the Elixir Fund. To learn more, or to support the team, visit their page on our site.

On November 1, 2015 we will have another TEAM KEVIN participating in the TCS New York City Marathon on behalf of the Elixir Fund. You can follow their progress and support them on their page.

As always, each spring in honor of Kevin and in honor of our anniversary we invite you to commit a random act of kindness. You can shovel out a neighbors driveway during this spring storm, cook a meal for someone who is impacted by chronic illness, donate blood, plant some flowers (if the ground has thawed where you are) or just smile at a stranger.
