From the Executive Director...
It has been a year of tremendous growth for the Elixir Fund. We have expanded our current programs with The Todd Cancer Institute, Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, and the University Medical Center at Princeton, as well as launched a program that provides comfort and support directly to individuals. We relocated our offices to the East Coast and I was hired on as our first full-time employee. I am honored and very excited about all that is to come.

While all of this change and growth is exciting, it is also bittersweet. In May, our friend and honorary board member Dom DeLuise passed away.  Dom and Carol were dear friends of Kevin’s and, along with their entire family, have been wonderful supporters of the Elixir Fund from the start.  While Dom was never able to attend our auctions, he always donated items and was the first to call after an event to ask “How did it go?” followed up by “Is there anything left that I can buy?!” Dom will be greatly missed but we all take comfort in the many wonderful memories that we have. We are dedicating this year’s newsletter to him.
