The Elixir Fund is honored to be an official partner of #GivingTuesday!

You know Black Friday, and possibly Cyber Thursday,
but do you recall the most famous (or what should be) day of them all?

What has now become an annual tradition (this is the second year, so that makes it is now officially an annual tradition), the Tuesday following Thanksgiving is known as Giving Tuesday – a day for giving back. On this day charities, families, businesses, community centers, students and more come together to honor #GivingTuesday.

How can you participate? You can support your favorite charities (of which we hope the Elixir Fund is one) by volunteering, supporting their mission, donating, or just spreading the word. In celebration of #CyberTuesday, Elixir Fund is holding an online fundraising campaign to raise money in support of the launch of the Elixir Fund Registry*. You can help us by donating money to the campaign and/or you can help us by sharing the Elixir Fund and our campaign with others on Facebook, Twitter, Email, shout it from the rooftops, whatever way you choose.

We are proud to be an official partner of #GivingTuesday and look forward to sharing the day with you.

*The Elixir Fund Registry: For those of you who might not know, we have built an online portal – a cancer comfort concierge. Patients & caregivers create a wish list of their needs by choosing from local businesses that offer services through our site. Those services may meet day-to-day needs such as meals, groceries, transportation, pet care, housekeeping; as well as the little extras such as massage, spa services, family outings, and more. Friends and family can fulfill those wish lists by purchasing items through our site to be gifted directly to the patient or caregiver. After talking with thousands of people impacted by cancer we really believe this is the perfect answer to “How can I help?”  We have built the registry and will be testing it with real patients and real businesses this winter and are looking forward to launching the full site in 2014.
