Together We can do Extraordinary Things

Kevin truly loved the holiday season for the time spent with family and friends, and he so enjoyed the spirit of giving. He had a talent for finding the perfect gift and then wrapping it exquisitely; we called him Marty Stewart. That spirit of giving extended to those who may be having a hard time, particularly during the holidays. Whether it was to bring them a gift, invite them to Christmas dinner, or just provide one of his incredible hugs or warm smiles. This #GivingTuesday we are remind of Kevin’s generosity of spirit and would like to carry on his tradition of holiday cheer.

In May we celebrated #GivingTuesdayNow by asking you to help us fund small grants for those impacted by cancer who were facing additional challenges due to Covid-19. We worked directly with social workers and developed an easy application and referral system. The need was great and thanks to your generosity, we were able to help 22 families. Their gratitude was overwhelming.

Now six months later, we are still receiving requests for help as many additional families are feeling the impacts of treatment, coupled with the hardships brought on by the pandemic. With the holidays just around the corner, we thought we would use this #GivingTuesday to once again raise funds to provide direct financial grants to families.

Ways to give:

  • Donate directly through our fundraising campaign.
  • Set up a fundraiser and help us raise funds – click “I want to fundraise for this campaign” on our fundraiser page or click here.
  • Shop from a variety of vendors through our Virtual Open House and a portion of your purchase(s) will be donated to our #GivingTuesday grants fund

Thank you in advance for your generosity and for helping us share Kevin’s spirit of giving. Together we can do extraordinary things and help make the holidays a little brighter for our grant recipients.
